Will being anorexic work now that I can lose weight?

When I was around 5 years old I got a tumor on my pituitary that made me gain weight no matter what I ate and no matter how much I exercised. This summer (June) I got the tumor removed. Now I don’t even know how to go about loosing weight. I have always wanted to be anorexic and I used to try. The longest I ever went without eating was 5 days, but, because of the tumor it didn’t work. I would go a few days a week every month with out eating and I was wondering if maybe now that I can lose weight maybe I can try it again. If you don’t think trying not to eat is the best way to go about this please give me some advice. I really need help.

Answer #1

Nope.

It still won’t work.

Whether you have a tumor or not, being anorexic is a fatal psychological condition. Usually, it will make you gain weight, since you stop eating for awhile, become super hungry, and then binge (eat a ton). You end up eating more, and your metabolism slows down, making you gain weight.

The way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Eat 4-6 SMALL meals a day, consisting of lean meats, whole-grain starches, fruits and vegetables. Set up your plate so 1/4 is meat, 1/4 is starch, 1/2 is fruit and veggies, and there is minimal fat.

If you do this as well as drink 8 glasses of water a day and exercise for 30 min a day a few times a week, you will see healthy results.

Good luck.

When you don’t eat for more than three hours your body goes into starvation mode and begins to store fat already in the body…either way you’ll gain weight.
