What exactly is an anime?

I have no idea the point in them, I just know they are cartoon looking things that remind me of Pokemon. I have no idea what the person meant by living in an anime. Some people are obsessed with these characters, many people draw them and stuff. …I don’t get it but hey, as long as they enjoy it. :)

Japanese animation. Anime is a short for animation. And a lot of anime is based on manga. Manga being comic book like books. Only read right to left and opened backwards.

Japanese animation. Basically anime in a nutshell. Absolutely not a cartoon. They are on crack you cant live in a animation.

It’s a Japanese style of animation-like Pokemon- that’s in a lot of comic books. Sorry, I don’t know much else about it, but it’s quite a big thing, there’s absolutely hundreds of anime films and a lot of teenagers are interested in it.
