Animal discrimination

I go to TJ Maxx a lot and see people with small dogs (chihuahuas, poodles, etc) I walked in with my boxer ( a calm dog) and they asked me to take him out of the store, So I brought my poodle in a couple days later and they didnt say a word. Do you think I could have a lawsuit over this because they discrimanated against my big dog?

Answer #1

uh…I don’t think so. You could ask them about why you couldn’t bring your big dog in, but if you filed a lawsuit with that, more than likely the judge and everyone else in the courtroom would just laugh and the case would be dismissed.

Answer #2

You have no case.

A business doesn’t have to allow animals into their store - often they allow people to “carry” their dogs in, but if the dog is on a leash or loose, they don’t want them in the store because they can still do damage or have an “accident” on the floor.

A small dog in someone’s arms is under more control.

Answer #3

All the more reason dogs should not be used as a accessory. They are a dog and don’t belong in a designer bag for a day of shopping. I think that is evil. Now don’t get me wrong I take my dogs to Petco or petsmart, but they also have water out for them and station’s in case your dog makes a mess.

Answer #4

Hahahahaha I’m sorry I just found your wording funny.

But in all seriousness, that is completely unfair but I don’t think you have a case here.
