American overchared by the Royal bank of Canada

Has the Royal Bank of Canada ever taken too much money from you when you buy stuff in Canada using an American bank card? and if so how did you know/get your money back. I bank with Bank of America and I understand that a fee will be accrued whenever I get money out of an ATM or use the card at a grocery store while I am up here for school.. but $5.00+ every time seems to me a bit excessive.. But I don’t know where to begin to find the rules to even see if I am being cheated…

wa, 5 bucks ia a little to high. I’ve never seen em take more than 2 out. hell I’d go to the bank and see what was up, because you are being cheated
