Am I pregnant from having sex on my period?

Ohkay I had sex while on my period…and its been like 2 days and now my period has stopped, am I pregnant?

Answer #1

sexy-slimax, the safest time for YOU, MIGHT be on your 1st-2nd day after your period, without further information, I wouldn’t know. As explained above, EACH womans safe times are different depending on their cycles, but generally speaking for most womes, the safest time is a few days clear of her ovulation days i.e. just before her period. Sperms lives for up to 3 days (5 is possible), it can fetilize an egg on any one of those days, depending on how available an egg is.

Answer #2

I dont think your pregnaunt, how old are you? and how long have you had your period. a period last about 7 days, some less than that it all depends .if you have sex during your period it usually hard for the sperm to swim up to get to the egg, during your period it usually means that your getting rid of the egg and after the bleed stops the egg is replace. but to make sure if your 16 and younger you can go to a heath clinic and get checked out for free.

Answer #3

okay 1st it’s nasty that your having sex while on your period and second your fertility is very low while your on your period so chances are your not, but then again it’s not unheard of

Answer #4

If you had a 7 day period, and you had sex on the last days of this period, then there is a possibility that you got pregnant; if your periods are close together and /or your partner had some die-hard sperms. Heres how it works; You get your eggs sometime inbetween your periods so if you have your periods regularly, say every 28-29 days, then your eggs are made about 13-16 days after the FIRST day of your period. If your periods happen every 22 days then you will ovulate sometime around 10-13 days from the first day of your period.(ie 3 DAYS AFTER YOU HAD SEX- IF YOU HAD SEX ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF YOUR PERIOD- in which case- the sperm might have lived 3 days and ferlilised the egg!!) If your periods are irregular, then the time of ovulation will vary..

This egg making time is called ovulation. You can ovulate twice, on different days during this ovulation period. Eggs live a couple of days once released from your fallopian tubes. Sperm usually lives for 2-3 days inside you, however it is just about possible for them to live 5 days (very unusuall though!).

You should also be aware, that another thing which CAN happen, is that you bleed during ovulation, and you can mistake this for a period- so if you bleed every 14 days it can be difficult to tell which is your menstual bleeding and which is your ovulation bleeding, especially if your menstual bleeding is not heavy or of some duration.

Answer #5

I know that this isnt the topic but I just want to make sure Im clear…

“Precum or pre-ejaculate is a fluid coming from the penis and is produced by man’s bulbourethral glands. The main bulbourethral gland is the prostate, and there are also few smaller glands that are situated in the body of the penis. They produce clear liquid that is similar to other mucous excretion of the body, the main difference is the different contents of proteins and increased concentration of sugars like fructose. Precum’s main purpose is cleaning the urethra from any bacteria or the leftovers of urine, also precum is a lubricant that is used for lubrication of the glans and foreskin during the intercourse. Depending on the person precum may or may not contain small amounts of spermatozoids, the chances of pregnancy are small but, since in theory, only one sperm is enough to get a woman pregnant there’s still a chance that the pregnancy will happen. It would be the safest to use condoms during the entire duration of the sexual intercourse.”

Answer #6

you can still get pregnat on your period go to the doctor the’ll tell you

Answer #7

Not true You can get pregnant on you period These answers are so wrong I know someone who did and didnt think it will happen now they have a child!!! You can get pregnant anytime once youve reached pubery (have periods) Birth Control Isnt fully active either

Answer #8

As long as we are sharing…

even when your guy pulls out before blowing his load… you CAN still get Prego. While chances are very slim, it happens. So the easiest way to not have an unexpected pregnancy would be to wear a condom or getting on birth conrol.

be safe

Answer #9

There’s a possibility you can get preggers while on your period but remember when your menstruating it means that your getting rid of the unfertilized egg that died. There for…I guess there’s nothing to be fertilized by sperm O_o

Answer #15

You can get pregnant while on your period. I thought the chances were very slim, and nine months later - came a baby girl. The only reason I know that was the day was it was the only time I had sex that month. And to top that off…we were standing. The only way you won’t get pregnant is .. don’t have sex. 2 of my boys were conceived using condoms, 1 was “pull and pray”, 1 during my period (the one mentioned above), 1 was planned and the last while I had a Mirena IUD. After all that, my husband got “snipped”. So either I’m very fertile or he had “strong” swimmers.

Answer #16

I wouldn’t really say that nnairac1972 bcuz the sperm takes 3 days to reach an egg, if I was to have unprotected sex a couple days b4 my period It is a very high possibility that I could get pregnant, really. By the way for everyone out there that thinks u can’t get pregnant on ur period, u CAN, very unlikely but not impossible I really think the safest time to have sex is with a condom, trust me, or the risky “rhythm method” On the first or second day after ur period is the safest time to have sex, the 3rd or 4th day r way risky bcuz they may mark the beginning of a new cycle which means an egg will be present waiting for his little friend

Answer #17

NO, this is the time you can have sex and you don’t get pregnant, be careful if you do it days before the period, that’s when you can get pregnant, just be careful and take care of yourself, I know it feels good when you doing it, but I can tell you it wont feel good after it.

Answer #18

if your having sex at all you need to use a condom and try using birth control. if your actually having sex when your period is on its a lesser if a chance of getting pregnant but you can still get an std. the best advice I can give you is to wait until you get maried and make sure he deserves it and isnt just playing you.

good luck god bless

Answer #19

nnairac1972- you CAN get pregnant during your period! The time just before your period is actually THE safest time in the whole month to have sex and not get pregnant. Really you should be more educated about womens cycles before handing out advice on matters of such importance. To find out your most fertile days; http://www.babycentre.co.uk/tools/ovu/
