Am I overweight at 5'7 and 125 pounds?

I am 5’7’’ and I weigh 125 lbs. I have a BMI of 19.5 Am I overweight, because I feel like I should be around 110-115 lbs.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I asked this question because even though my friends tells me I’m not overweight, my boyfriend is always telling me I’m fat and need to lose weight. I guess that I’m even starting to see myself as fat because he keeps saying it.

my height is 5’6 amd my recommended weight range is between 135-155, so I think that you’re fine. you definately don’t need to lose any weight. if you want to tone up your body (like many of us do) do toning excersises like yoga or light weight lifting. don’t be surprised if when you tone up, you actually gain weight. muscle weighs more than fat. here is a link for a height and weight chart that you might find helpful… http://healthchecksystems.com/heightweightchart.htm

Hi do not lose weight! I became anorexic (not anymore) because I tried to lose weight I did not need to lose. Try to just live life do not obsess over weight so much more things matter.

I am 5’7 and 135! My doctor said I am fine. Therefore, you might be a little light. Talk to a doc and find out.

you are so not overweight I am 14 4’11 and about 120 pounds and hun I love my body the way it is!!!=] you should too!!! but you are no where near overweight!!!

what??? overweight??? I am 5’7 and weigh 126…very normal!!! a lot of people say I need to gain weight!!! Guys don’t like toothpicks!! From a womans perspective women who aren’t toothpicks look a whole lot better!!! Whatever you do, don’t lose a pound or even more you would look ridiculous!! you need curves, too thin women have NO curves!

LOL if your overweight then I’m an elephant in comparison to you…

I’m 5’4” and I weight the same thing… And my BMI is 21.5

if you look at actaul BMI calculators it gives you ranking…

I think the BMI’s are: Underweight = <18 Normal weight = 18-25 Overweight = 25-30 Obesity = 30+ I’m not 100% sure though but its around there…

So your techinically your normal but close to being underweight…

Also BMI calculations don’t take in muscle mass, only fat so they’re not 100% accurate…
