Am I doing the right thing?

Ok I believe I am doing the right thing for both of us but then I need some assurance that I am…I have been friends with a guy and he’s married and also has a kid. He told me recently that he wanted to have some pleasure with me physically(no no not sex and all) but just some fondling I guess….I seriously believe it’s not right and I even told him as much…I have tremendous respect for his wife as a woman and as a person and though she wouldn’t know it, she would get hurt indirectly and I am going to do all I can to see that she isn’t….Now this guy thinks I don’t love him anymore which is why I am avoiding seeing him…I may loose this friendship forever which seems likely but I am silently praying that I am doing the right thing….I am hurt that a friendship must be based on all this but then I am helpless and have to give in….I hope I have done the right thing….. don’t know what else to do….Given a chance I’ll save this friendship but then I guess I have no cards left with me….If I have to convince him and save this friendship I need a damn convincing reason which is where I am turning to you for help….Can someone tell him what I could tell him such that he’s convinced I still love him but only since he’s married I am not willing to do this….Because he’s a nice guy otherwise

Well don’t fool yourself, because fondling is going to lead to other things, it always does in the heat of the moment and well no matter how you look at it fondling is still cheating. I would really think about this one, but in my opinion it will be to complicated to be around this guy, because he is always going to want to do things with you sexually, and its just going to cause unneeded drama in your life. Like you said you respect his wife so you really have to think about what you plan to do but getting involved with this guy is going to be trouble for you.

Never get involved with a married man!! Trust me, its not your friendship he wants!! He should seek out males for friendship, not females. Asking you to do physical things with him, should be a red flag right there. If you respect his wife like you say you do, then get out of this whole situation. No one should EVER have to prove their love for someone by having to get physical with them. If they do, they are just using you! Get away from this guy, or like jason said, “this guy is going to be trouble for you.

Answer #3

No you have done the right thing! and i respect your beliefs, you have taken into consideration his wife who will be the victim in all of this and you wont be able to live with the guilt which means you are a good person becos you have a conscience. This guy is no good and has no respect for his wife or you so its best to avoid him from now on.
