it doesnt seem like your a teachers pet. im on the honour role all the time as well and I dont see it as sucking up.

if you go to class everyday and like compiment your teachers, or try and to extra stuff that a student doesnt normally do, then you are. if not, then you’re just really smart and you should keep it up!

I don’t think it’s your fault at all. I have had those few teachers that I bonded with doesn’t mean I’m a teachers pet. just because you try and get good grades is nothing to feel guilty about.

Dear x0x_caitlyn_x0x, Teachers are taught to only concentrate on the students who show potential and who will do their work. Right or wrong this is what they do, there are several reasons for this and some are selfish. Regardless, you are not a teachers pet in fact the phrase teachers pet was coined by those who see them selves as being potential dropouts and those who see them selves and being underachievers. The teacher picks you probably because you’re reliable and a good student. The derogatory term for this is “Teacher’s Pet” …so yeah, I guess you are.
