Alcohol and pregnancy?

So they say that the first few months of pregnancy are the most harmful to your baby. & if a mom drinks alcohol, it could cause birth defects. What if she’s only a few weeks pregnant and has no idea she’s pregnant and drinks. Is she far enough along to cause any harm to the baby? Just wondering…

Answer #1

No one knows which drink and how much will hurt a baby… some kids turn out fine even though the mother drank lots, and some babies have FAS even though she only drank moderately… in general the more you drink the worse it is, but it really is best to abstain as soon as you find out

Answer #2

more than likely it won’t harm a thing…women all over the world, every single day of the year find out they’re pregnant and think “omg, did that new year’s eve party effect my baby?” don’t worry so much…excessive drinking harms unborn babies

Answer #3

If it’s only a little bit there shouldn’t be too much damage done. But if you even have a chance of being pregnant you should not drink.

Answer #4

The chances of harm are small, but once you know you are, you’ll want to stop with the harmful things.
