Absolutely agree. This is exactly what makes love the world, get to know the cultures of other countries better and become aware of yourself and those around you. You feel like waking up and this feeling will never be forgotten. Everyone travels for different reasons, my reason is to increasingly see the beauty of our nature. The last thing I liked was the nature of Iceland, this you have not seen anywhere else.
I don't think I could do it. I like my house and its luxuries. I like staying in one place and don't like change of environment much.
But I have a friend who just gets the "wanderlust" and takes off across the Unites States. Hops on a bus and heads somewhere else. Seems perfectly happy doing it, so I say go for it. Works a few odd jobs on the way.
It's a prey/predator enviornment and taking a chance risk if your not a predator you won't encounter one or be duped by one or a con. It's for people who want to live on the edge of unknown and thrill of adventure. However, most want some sense of security with set limits to how much adventure they want to encounter and at what price.
I certainly don't approve of the theft, grift and child abuse that seems epidemic in their group. I understand that not all travelers are criminals but there seems to be a lot of crime associated with them.
I don't agree or disagree, it's just a different way of life :) Not my delio but to each his own :)
You can ask any OTR seasoned truckers as to the plus or minus's of travelling long term.
Yes its all depends on travelers may be they can get better enjoyment from traveling.
What do you mean? Like a backpacker? Elaborate.
