What age do you have to start dancing at to become a professional?

Answer #1

Many professionals started dancing when they were young children - 3 or 4.

Answer #2

Agreed, however it is possible to start as an adult and make it as a professiona provided you put in the effort and have the passion for it.

Answer #3

I agree with the others that most start young. This does not make it impossible though. You may have to work harder. If i were you id join a dance class or club. And once your older if in your area have like a dance show like for example so you think you can dance then try out for it. It could reall help you start a career.

Answer #4

One of my GK’s started dance classes when she was 6 and now, to help pay for her own classes, she teaches it to the younger kids in the studio. I wouldn’t tell her this, but she had two left feet when she first started. But she’s fantastic today. She also gets involved in community dance projects, and theatre at her school. From what I’ve seen of it anyone can learn the steps but it takes stretched muscles to be flexible enough to display a graceful effortless flow which is what they look for.

Answer #5
