Why am I so afraid or the rain an thunder and lightening I always fear that a tornado will follow and something bad will happen :(?

Everytime the wind is bad and its storming i assume a tornado is coming also. Mainly because ive been through several though, with all the hurricanesthat hit my state the tornados are quite commen during them. Its a normal fear. When i get scared i grab my phone, a flashlight and go sit in a room with no windows until the storm dies down some.

i ACTUALLLY had a tornado hit. during m 10th b~day party. i was parinoied for years. I was diagnosed with the actual fear of storms, and my doctor suggested a “storm ritual” this evolved into me and my mom sitting in the hall and playin Life till the storm was over. two years later i could function thru one, but i’m gonna be honest. to this day thunder can still make me nervous. just educate yourself on local weather patterns and try to understand that its natural. just try a ritual. a book or game is a GREAT distraction.. headphones tured up rly loud helpps to.
