Advil Overdose

About 1 year ago I was really stupid and ate like a half a bottle of advil. For about a whole month after that my stomach killed and I was too afraid to go see a doctor and tell him. After that month my stomach didnt hurt anymore but now from time to time that stomach ache comes back for a short period of time and goes away. Also I sometimes drink alcohol, and when I do my stomach kills for a few days then the pain goes away. I would like to know if this has done lots of damage to my liver or not. Also I just started reading about milk thistle and want to know if it helps or not and anyone has any advice or products they could suggest to repair my liver. thatd be great.

if I’ve been alive for a year now, is there really a need to see the doctor. I just dont wanna go through the embarassment of them findin out

One of the issues involved with taking too many painkillers such as Advil or Tylenol is that it damages the stomach lining - you don’t have to take half a bottle at once to do this, even just taking it frequently for headaches or other pain will do the same thing.

Go to the doctor, and let him know that you use a lot of Advil and it seems to be affecting your stomach now - the problem won’t go away if you don’t get it looked at.

As for your liver - we don’t know if it’s damaged, and if it is, there’s no way to fix it.
