What advice can you give to me for modelling?

Okay so on Thursday i will be modelling, for me this is a massive thng and i dnt have really at experience in this type of thing, i really dont want to mess up and make a fool of myself. Id appreciate some good tips for this modelling (how to act, poses and so on) Im awful with cameras and unless its me taking the picture i can never get a good one..

Answer #1

Confidence. Haha cheesy huh? But it’s true. Trust the photographer, (s)he will likely guide you to poses you should do, ways to act for each particular shot. However, the quality of that is down to you and how confident you are. If you are confident and comfortable it will shine through, if you aren’t it will show. Plus, remember they can always retake a shot, so relax and be confident. You are there for a reason, great looks!

Answer #2

What she said^, but honestly the confidence will come with time, the more shoots you do, the more confident and comfortable you will be. Just try and relax as much as possible, and remember that you can only improve on what you have done, and try not to get so worked up over it!

Answer #3

Don’t do it if you can’t take criticism. Probably not what you’re looking for, but things like modeling can break some girls’ self esteem.

Answer #4

I don’t mean persue it as a career. A better way to phras ethis question would be something like “what advice can you give me for a photoshoot”

Answer #5

Have a pleasant, ‘can-do’ attitude, be punctual and professional…..

Answer #6

Answer #7

Answer #8

Answer #9

Don’t drink to much before it; do get a good night’s sleep. If there’s anything that cheers you up or puts you in a good mood or makes you laugh a lot or calms you down - like listening to your favorite music, for example, or cuddling with your favorite animal companion, or watching the a Marx Brothers movie, or taking a walk in the sun - you could do that an hour or so before the shoot.

Answer #10

As a model, I can say moving your entire body is key. Don’t just move one part of yourself, keep your hands moving. Remember to change expressions as often as possible. Do not face your feet to the camera EVER. Breathe when you move, don’t hold it in. It just gets uncomfortable for you and the photographer. Be adventurous, don’t stick to one look or pose. Good luck!

Answer #11

You’re gorgeous! Be confident, be persistent, don’t let them get you down! BE YOU. :)

Answer #12

Best advice: DON’T. Haha jk. I’m surprised no one has said this yet, but the really really important thing to consider is scams. You should research all the scams and illegitimate fees that companies posing as modeling agencies use. Tyra Banks has done a lot to publicize these things - just google about it and make sure to do background checks! Good luck :)

Answer #13

It’s all about smizing.
