Advertising techniques for my website?

Anyone know any advertising techniques for my website and/or my google group?

The best scheme I concocted for free advertising was to reference my blog endlessly from yahoo answers. I actually did this as a form of retaliation because my account was unjustly suspended, but it worked anyway!

It drove huge traffic to my blog ( http://www.yahooanswerssucks.com ) , and even though that was probably almost a year ago, my blog still gets rated in the top 20 comedy blogs according to one survey on a regular basis, and I hardly ever even update it.

…of course, I’m not making any money off it, but if you just want traffic, you might try that.
