Anne Rice is amazing! You could try The Vampire Academy series. Even though it is nothing like Anne Rice and is for teens/tweens, I found it as a pretty good read. It was much better than Twilight or Vampire diaries. Allot more interesting and violent. Just something to consider if you like vampire books.

Or else try Stephen King, Nicci French and Paolini. They didn’t write about vampires, but their books are amazing. Stephen King, well you know what he writes about. Nicci French is murder mysteries that always circle around a woman. Her stories are very focused on the psychological. And Paolini wrote Eragorn. It is very much like The Lord of The Rings in its story, but not as intricate to read. Its a much lighter read.
