Is there anyone out there that had a bad adoption?

Nope. But I know a family who had an extremely difficult adoption. They adopted a boy who has been traumatized, nearly starved, tortured and abused by his mother and her boyfriend (may they burn in hell) when he was only an infant.

He has some very extremely difficult behavior disorders, angst disorders, nightmares, health problems and learning deficits. Still needs diapers, even though he’s 8. Has seizures or panic attacks whenever people are speaking loudly and he sometimes randomly destroys things - just to check whether people really won’t get terribly angry and beat him till he bleeds. He won’t stay anywhere without his new adoptive parents. And he’s still learning to talk - unthinkable that he’ll ever visit a normal school.

The kid id in therapy all the time. He’ll probably never be totally healed, never be a normal kid. His adoptive parents have to be incredibly patient with him. And they are often close to nervous break down. I really don’t know how they do it. But they still love that boy. I admire them so much.
