Does anyone know how to add shortening to a pan *without* touching the shortening?

Answer #1

umm use two knifes Or you can get some else to do it for you :]

Answer #2

put your hand in a clear sandwich bag, dip it in the shortening then spread it around?

Answer #3

Depends on how much you need. If you’re just lightly spreading some, use a paper towell or something, grab a hunk and spread it, but make sure the paper towell doesn’t come apart into the pan. Or use a plastic bag or something.

Answer #4

Just use a big spoon. Have the pan semi-hot first, and just spread it around while it melts then dump out the excess if you have too much.

Answer #5

I always just use 3 paper towels and fold them up good, that way you can get as much or as little shortening as you want

Answer #6

ues a paper towel
