Do you think it's okay to add friends from work on Facebook?

I think adding friends from work is fine, because it gives you a way to get in contact with them if you happen to need a switch shift. But I don’t think you should “friend” managers if you are not a manager, there should be that separation of work and personal life.

I think it is fine as long as they are not of higher rank than you; manager, supervisor.

It could be bad if things about you are found out or if you post things like if you got drunk and if you are a School Teacher for example, it may come back to add unnecessary drama.

I think its fine just don’t post stupid things.

It’s fine as long as you don’t post anything that could get you fired!! One of my friends called in sick and went out partying and posted it on facebook and got caught because she was friends with her manager…

My workmates are adding me all the time and I don’t see anything wrong with that, lol. aybe if I didn’t talk to them at work then it’d seem a bit weird, but if the people you get along with at work add you then that is fine. Therefore, by extension it would also be fine if you added them.

Sure, but you must be VERY careful in what you say…..if your company is made aware, you can be fired….already tested, ruled in company’s favor (bigger picture, they may feel what your views are/you’re saying, reflects on company views/values)

No, I wouldn’t do that. It can and will be used against you. Don’t let Facebook ruin a job opportunity. But I would get their phone numbers so you can call or text them if anything comes up…

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with adding your work friends on facebook, really, just as long as you’re comfortable with them seeing glimpses of your personal life.

i do but only my coworkers from my seasonal job. i only use face book to keep in touch with friends that i do not see everyday
