What is worse: Acne or periods?

OK so i’m on the contraceptive injection and it stops my periods but it makes my spots worse, I’m already taking pills for spots and i still get quite allot, They leave red marks for months/years too well quite allot of mine have! So Which is worse having periods and stopping injection. Or having spots and no periods? Or can anyone recommend skin care treatment for ache? I’ve tried so many things! I’m actually stuck on what to do. It’s actually making my confidence go down because i don’t want to go out with big break out of ache on my face. Please help <3

Answer #1

When having your period you go through lots of pain. Acne is something you can get rid of quickly and easily. so a period would be worse.

Answer #2

Periods are uncomfortable and painful. Acne isn’t pain, but lowers self esteem and confidence. But acne can be treated quickly. Periods are every month and last for a week. Periods are far worse.

Answer #3

Even though I sometimes have painful periods I would rather have acne because I have suffered for as long as I can remember. There has not been a time in my life which I can remember looking in a mirror to a clear face. Acne can shatter confidence and it a struggle when you cannot make it significantly better.

acne! it’s a pain! periods r pretty bad too but acne!!!

Answer #8

Same thing with me, I have the most trouble around my jaw line and chin but the redness doesn’t help and I don’t like to wear make up like foundation or a lot of powder in case I made it worse.

Answer #9

Depends! Some people have really bad cystic acne :/ that are so hard to get rid of and are so big and painful. If so, then I’d say acne. Otherwise, I’d say period! Period causes pain, plus you are stuck with a mess, and periods cause acne for a lot of women!

Answer #10

Acne! By far.

Answer #11

period, cause I have the worst period this why I like bein pregnant no period :P

Answer #12

Even though I find periods annoying and painful, I would rather have them then acne pains. For period pains you can easily take a painful, exercise and eat health and having a period is a sign that you are healthy. Acne on the other hand can do a lot more damage physically and emotionally than bleeding every month. Also it’s really difficult to treat acne as not all people react the same to medication. So I would definitely rather have a period. What you could try for your acne is roaccutane (you’ll need to see a dermatologist though) and it is very harsh on your skin. Also why are you on the injection to make your period stop? Just to make you aware the depo provera causes osteoporosis and gives women tons of trouble with their fertility. Maybe you should consider the pill if possible in your situation?

Answer #13

Period FOR SURE.

Answer #14

id say acne since you cant really hide it lol

Answer #15

Yeahh i get it on my forehead and around my mouth area i wear make up but i try not to wear it often xD

Answer #16

acne cuz it never goes away!!! no matter what you try

Answer #17

I would rather have my period everyday! over having acne. Thankfully I have been blessed with a clear face but my sister on the other hand is not soo lucky. & she has tried so mnay different products and nothing seems to help…I feel bad for her cause her confidence is down, and it’s not just acne but then they also leave marks on your skin. No one should have to deal with that abuse from acne!!!

Answer #18

I’d rather have a period than acne, at least then I’m not pregnant.
