Answer #1

An average period lasts from about 3 to 7 days. If a girl is just starting her period it may be abnormal maybe instead of being from 3 to 7 days it might be 3 to 9 or even 10 days when first starting it. The blood when having a period is just as thick as normal blood. As example if you cut your arm and it bled, it would be just that thick. And to answer your last question, the blood is red at the beginning but sometimes at the end of a girl’s period could become more of a brown colour. Every girl is different too so it depends on the girl. I hope I helped a little. Any more questions just ask me. Love ya ~Sexyblonde~

Answer #2

Periods last about a week. I’m on oral contraceptives and mine only lasts about 3 days and is very light. Before that I used to have heavy periods for like 5 days.

It’s your uterine lining so it isn’t like normal blood. it has other stuff in it too. Sometimes it can look black and be gooey.
