A sore on the outside of the vaginal entrance

Dear Sir/Madam,

My wife is having a sore on the outside of her vaginal entrance which never gets better. It’s been now 3 years but yet there is no sign of improvement though she has been evaluated several times by a gynecologist. She feels some pain and irritation during urination and when it reacts with soap while taking bath. Of late, she is even experiencing pain while sitting crosslegged or walking. Her medical evaluations did not indicate any disease and the ointments prescribed by the doctor did not improve the situation. The sore often shifts its position around the vaginal area and now we are really worried. Therefore, I would be extremely grateful if anybody could kindly help us. What kind of symtom could it be exactly? Is it not that of a tumer or cancer? Please help us as we are really panicky!

Answer #1

the only person who can help is another doctor.

Answer #2

Can’t you get a second opinion from another gynaecologist, or go back to your doctor? It’s unlikely that someone on this board is going to give you a better answer to this than someone who is an expert in this field, can assess the area, and has presumably seen many similar cases
