A pregnancy scan
Whats it like having a scan I got mine tomorrow morning Even if im 5 to 6 weeks pregnant can I still see my baby on a scan picture? Apparently you cant , So im just asking to see if I cud see it on a picture? Thank you P.s does it hurt having a scan? :)
At that early in your pregnancy they will likely use an internal wand. It doesn’t hurt, they lube it up very well- but it’s a bit uncomfortable. You probably won’t be able to see your baby- only the amniotic sac will likely be visible. I had my first ultrasound, via internal wand, when I was 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I could only see the amniotic sack and two little specs: the baby and the yolk sack; that’s what keeps the baby alive until he or she grows a placenta and amniotic sack. Really neat even if you can’t make out your baby. You’ll be able to make it out on the video- they’ll point everything they see out to you. It’s SO fascinating! You’re making a LIFE. This LIFE has his or her own life path, their own friends and family that they’ll eventually make. It’s just an amazing thing you’re going through. Congratulations!
