Which pet should I get?

I think I’m planning on getting another pet. Something small, cheap(lol like 20$ and under), and easy to care for. And I think I know what your thinking. Why don’t you get fish? Well I already have 4. And I have 3 mice. And a hermit crab. So those are pretty much elimated… What do you think I should get? Plus I have 2 dogs and a cat…

Answer #1

What about getting a hamster? Those are small and probably cheap.

Answer #2

Get a stick insect. They are low maintenance pets.

Answer #3

One pet I had when I was younger and broke was pet Fancy Rats. It’s like a larger mouse, but they are really cool. I must warn you though, get a glass cage because my cats used to try to put their paws in the bars of the cage I had and one of my cats got bit. And never buy animals from PETCO because their animals have a high death/diease/sickness percentage and they dont handle their animals.

We got two friendly female feeder rats from our local pet shop. They were like 6$ each. The cage was like $45. A water bottle, and wood to chew on. We were told to go for rats instead of mice or hamsters as they are not nocturnal and therefore don’t get grumpy and tend to bit when aroused during the day. We got two not only because it was for two kids but they like to live in groups.

They eat rat block (about $5 for 3 lbs or something like that) from the pet shop too and also a seed mix from my local store that is for critters. They like to eat fresh veggies like cucumbers, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, also apples, pears. They love peanuts in the shell with out salt of course.

They need to have the cage cleaned about once a week I have found to be the best even though some say they clean once a day.( I have a larger cage.) They require a pine and cedar free bedding. We find it at petco on sale frequently and find 2 cubic feet good for about a 2mth period (my best guesstament)

l life expectancy is about 2 years or so. They do thrive on socialization and love to sit upon your shoulder. Once calm or trusting they will not pooh or pee on you. They do need a daily dose of 2 hours at least of your time.

You might even find free or reduced costs if you look thru the paper or craigslist.org. Try this website for further info:

Good luck

Answer #8

BUNNY RABBIT DUCK(ONLY 5 DOLLARS) FISH SNAKE MICE HOPE I HAELPED COMMENT ON MINE! please

Answer #9

How about a bunny? I’ve had my rabbit for about a year and a half now. He’s really cool,Hes almost like a dog,he’ll sit in my lap and watch tv with me. He’s pretty easy to take care of.He poos in a litter box, like a cat.And I only hafta clean his cage like once a week.

I got him for 75$,with the cage and everything included. It may seem like a lot but it was actually a great deal because he’s a pure bread lionhead rabbit. For a normal rabbit, you could probably get him for about 20-30,and the cage for about 15.
