A family question

Are dog or cats better for a family of 6 or even a bird rabbit?

Answer #1

dogs, there are many breeds to choose from :) they are friendly, playful and get you out of the house :) cats are cute when young but are usually lazy when they grow up but not all of them. Parrots are pretty cool, but you cant do much and they make a huge mess and lotsa noise. A rabbit isnt very playful either and cant do much with it. I say get a dog!!! they really are a mans best friend :D

Answer #2

Dogs by far, I have a parrot and a cat but the dog is what my son can actually play with.

I am going to agree, cats are temperamental, and some may love having a big family, but some wont… Dogs are really your best bet, you want to find which breeds are more sociable, good with lots of people, etc. Birds are generally not so good with kids, and they tend to do better one on one (depending on the bird). I dont know much about rabbits… But really, I think your best bet would be a dog.
