9 week old pug puppy

tomorrow I am getting my 9 week old pug puppy! she is the runt of her litter, and therefore she is pretty small for her age. is there and kind of extra health precautions that should be taken with the runt of a litter? and what kinds of shots will she be needing within the next few weeks?

my Dixie was the runt of the liter and thats why I picked her..LOL(she is the one in the pics) no special care as long as she is healthy…she is now pregnant with her 1st liter due in Oct.. :) Have fun and good luck and Congrats and enjoy your sweet puppy!

Our pug just died, he was 11 years old. He got blind and got diabeties, he was very very expensive .GOOD LUCK Not to worry you, THey are very cute and cuddly and your dog probably wont have those problems, our dog did though, but be careful about the blindness factor, because pugs are known to be blind.

Make an appointment at your Vets this coming week, for a “wellness check”, and to get her started on her “puppy shot” series (that will be 3 shots, one every 2 weeks for 6 weeks)…The shots are sometimes 6 way, or 7 way…but ALL include distemper, parvo, and canine influenza…the distemper and parvo are the dealiest of canine diseases…so don’t decide to wait a week, do it right away!!

As a 9 week old runt, there’s nothing special you need to do…just love her up~Congrats on your new family member.

Our first pug lived to be 15 years old. Her sight was just beginning to fail then.

We now have a bouncing 8 month old. She is the runt of her litter too. She house trained very quickly. She is a joy. Full of energy. The only issue we are dealing with now is her incessant licking. Everything!!!

By the way she weighed 2 lbs. when we got her she is now a very muscular 12 lbs. She love to swim in our pool and get daily exercise for sure. She exercises we watch. Ha! Ha!
