K may mean a lot of things. Kilogram, kilometers, Potassium, etc. But in general context, it means 1 thousand (from Greek Kilo). So it might mean 41 thousand.

Actually Kilograms is kg, Kilometers is km, and why would you put a number in front of an element?

I’m not sure. kilometers per hour is kph not kmph. Somehow there’s no absolute standards on that one, That’s why i said it “may” mean a lot of things. As for putting a number before an element, I think there’s a lot of instances that we put numbers before an element. It’s not impossible. =)
