Is £40 a good amount to be paid to a band for a gig?
it’s our first payed gig, there’s five of us playing an hour set, they’ve offered us 40 quid, is that good?
I would urge for fifty but if not that’s a decent deal.

If it is your first gig…then 40 notes is good….free drinks should be good enough in my opinion and any cash to cover overheads is a bonus. If your band is serious and passionate about your music then this opportunity to play your first gig should be enough payment.To be thinking of the cash, to me your heart is not really in it.
