Can two 15 year olds get into a R rated movie?

Answer #1

With a parent or guardian? Nope.

Answer #2

Looking at the MPAA website, it says this about R rated movies:

R — Restricted. Children Under 17 Require Accompanying Parent or Adult Guardian. An R-rated motion picture, in the view of the Rating Board, contains some adult material. An R-rated motion picture may include adult themes, adult activity, hard language, intense or persistent violence, sexually-oriented nudity, drug abuse or other elements, so that parents are counseled to take this rating very seriously. Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated motion pictures unaccompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Parents are strongly urged to find out more about R-rated motion pictures in determining their suitability for their children. Generally, it is not appropriate for parents to bring their young children with them to R-rated motion pictures.

So, regardless of how many under 17’s there are, they must accompinied by someone 17 or over. This doesn’t take into account getting asked for ID of course.

Answer #3

Yes,Plan A: Try buying the tickets yourself, Plan B: With a parent or guardian, adult supervision.. Plan C: Sneak in… Just don’t get caught. I was once a problem child.

Answer #4

Don’t you mean without?

Answer #5

Legally, no, you have to be of age. But most ticket sales people don’t really care. When I was 15,16… I always went to R, M, AO rated movies- I brought the tickets myself and the sales people were just like yeahh whateverrrr…… That might just be my country’s over-relaxed attitude towards exposing children to media beyond their years. But any-who, it worked for me…. Another option is booking online, or having an adult buy the tickets for you.

Answer #6

Larger movie theaters require adult supervision, or a license. Small, community theaters in my area don’t care. And I’m 13.

Answer #7
