Can a 14-year-old work at a daycare?

What are the things you need to do to be qualified? I was wondering how old you have to be to work at a local daycare in Canada, BC. And what are the qualifications you need? I know you probably have to go through a babysitting course but what other things do I need to do to be qualified to work with children? Thanks a lot to whoever answers :)

Answer #4

You have to be 16 years old to be able to work at a daycare, but you will be able to volunteer. i think that in order to volunteer you will need to take some CPR classes and babysittig training courses! You might also need to go to the doctor and get a check up! i think that should be a fun volunteer work and you might get hired…. But one piece of advice would be treat volunteer work as if it is your job…. be early, dress apporiate and she friendly and nice! :) good Luck!
