You need to invent a melody, a rythm and a text.

Then you write down the melody with the rythm and see how you can fit the text in. You will need to change some words to make it go with the rythm.

Try this: First of all take an existing song and try to make a mockery text. Like… I used a kids song and make a text about the great oil spill in the gulf of Mexico for demonstration…

“Itsy bitsy oil pipe blew up beneath the sea there, where BP was pumping oil for me. Killed fish and birds and dolphins in the sea and the itsy bitsy oil spill kept leaking constantly”

Then invent your own melody - this is the hardest part - and find a theme that you want to sing about. And then use the texting skills you have to fit your own text into the melody.
