There was no 1.6 version. If you’re referring to any of the 1.x versions, they’re all for XP SP1 and up.

All the Live Movie Maker versions are for Vista and later.

Ah, then you need the older 2.6 version made for Vista (compatible with 7). After that, they made it into a Live Essential program. http://funadvice.com/r/15l8v22o8ks
