The Sahara is the desert in north Africa and the largest desert in the world. And it is approximately 9 square kilometers. If you remember other numbers, you may remember the size in miles. It’s about 3,6 million sq miles. The countries Algeria, Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Sudan, Tunisia and Western Sahara all own a part of the Sahara desert.
