How can I pretend I didn't know I am pregnant?

I’m 18 years old and I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks ago but I havent told my mother yet. I think I’m about 11 and a 1/2 weeks now. She already has confronted me about it I’ve been playing dumb. She made a DR appointment for me in 4 days and im scared of how she will react.

Why would you want to continue to pretend you did not know? That does not sound like a very mature way to handle this. If you are pregnant, you need to start acting like an adult. I think it would be better to say, “Mom, I have known that I was pregnant for a while. I am sorry I did not tell you sooner. I know that was really immature of me, but I was really nervous to tell you.”

Denying a pregnancy is not only immature, it is dangerous. Your baby needs to you to see the ob-gyn frequently, eat right, take prenatal vitamins, etc.

So be honest about it. If you’re nervous, just keep thinking about how it’s all for the good of the baby. You can always write your mother a note too if you’re very nervous to talk to her about it face to face.

well..u could go on pretending to play dumb..but if she finds out u knew about it then u could be in even deeper water..or u could go the really honest way and just say u were afraid to tell her..or u could just tell her that u just took a pregnancy test and it was positive..anyway..she’s not going to be happy one way or the other..i myself would go with telling her u didnt know how she’d react ..in the long run..its your choice
