Some people have a hard time setting goals, let alone reaching them. They can’t seem to ever surpass goals that have been personally set by none other than themselves.

Is it because they don’t have what it takes to succeed? NO WAY!

However, before I get into the reasons why they might fail, let me explain a jump on over to the other side of the spectrum…

Some people reach their goals on a daily basis. Not only do they reach them but they well surpass those that have been set.

When it comes to segmentation and categorization, you best believe that I’m in the goal reaching group, not the other.

Why and how am I constantly able to remain within this group of people?

The answer is quite simple and one that I have to attribute to what I call dynamic goal setting.

Here’s the way I see things, just because you’ve reached a previously set goal for the day doesn’t mean that you’ve done all that you can. There are many times in which a goal has been set and achieved yet you could have done more.

What I do is shift my goals (constantly) and sometimes within minutes or reaching that previously set goal.

Let me provide an example for you…

Let’s say I’m on the treadmill at the gym early in the morning. I’m sweating bullets and I’m also starving (thanks to theĀ Intermittent Fasting diet I’ve been on).

I’ve set a goal to burn 400 calories in that one cardio session. It doesn’t matter how long or how hard I’ve been running, walking or crawling on the treadmill.

The only thing that matters at that point in time is hitting 400 calories on that sweat drenched machine.

I’m so close to hitting my goal and I know I’m less than 20 seconds away from doing so. I look over and no sooner realize I’ve got 3 minutes left before I hit a a rounded up number of minutes on the timer. I decide to push it to the limit and keep on cranking. My goal immediately shifts from 400 calories to a specific amount of time spent doing cardio.

I notice the clock is getting closer and closer to my time goal. I’m less than a minute away from reaching that goal and I no sooner realize I’m 1/10th or even just ¼th shy of the next mile. My goal shifts once again and it’s all on reaching that distance goal.

At the end of the day, I’ve well surpassed my original goal. I’ve burned more calories than anticipated and I’ve proven to myself that I can do it…and so can you!

This method can be applied in almost any area in life. Diet, health, work, relationships, new project, new business and many more. In fact, it can be applied to literally any task on the planet.

That’s how I make progress on a daily basis in very specific areas.
