you can buy special low acid tomatoes (atleast you can in NZ!). They are the kind of funny shaped ones, they look almost egg shaped. Im not sure which variety they are, in the supermarket they just call them low acid tomatoes. Or jet star and jubilee are low acid varieties I believe.
Well I did not know this, that is part of the reason I am on this site, off the wall knowledge. Not a big fan of tomatoes unless they are in hot sauce or ketchup.
tomatoes are so good! Not the low acid ones though. I like them when they are slightly green and really acidic! Mmmm tomatoes on toast with lots of pepper…
