Have you ever stopped eating a food because of it's nutritional content?

Just wondering, I know personally I once looked at the back of one of those packs of ramen instant noodles and I haven’t touched them since, due to the salt, saturated and trans fats. I’m okay with sugar and some fat normally and basically ignore it, I’m all for enjoying food, but that was a bit much. How about you?

well, i usually do look. ive started eating things in moderation. whereas i used to just stuff my face with whatever looked appetizing. nowadays, im happy to say after checking the nutrition facts on the packages, i have put many things back down where i picked them up.

Before I started going to University I didn’t eat Ramen. I used to eat it when I was a kid and one day I noticed all of the sodium and I swore I wouldn’t eat it. But when I started at college I started eating it again. Heh.

Other than that I stay away from those Braids Pies or whatever brand they are. So much fat in one little cherry pie, it’s insane. But I tend to avoid looking at nutritional labels. I don’t care enough about keeping my figure. Meh.

There is no food i dont eat because the nutritional content. I could care less how sugary, or salty, or how many carbs it has but if it has alot of calories i wont touch it ever XP

Well since I work at mcdonalds.. I used to have a big mac or a bacon tasty for my break every day then I started doing the dive (which is cleaning EVERYTHING) and I had to wash the grease off the machinery and was them off these tools and big metal containers and it made me realise they are horrible! it was fat and grease and oil and it was horrible. the third time I had a bacon tasty i read the side of the box and it said it was over 1000 calories and i immediatly stopped eating it. now i stick with my fruit bag, water and sometimes chilli delis!

Answer #5

Only when I’m dieting. It’s pretty much just fresh vegetables and tofu when I’m on a diet but other than that I tend to eat quite healthy foods anyway. I do read labels though, and when I was in school I never ate packaged chips or anything cause of the fat and salt content. But I do like popcorn haha

Answer #6

Yea… If you’ve ever watched “Super Size Me”, you’ll never eat McDonalds in your life again! Not only is their food bad for your health, its addictive! I don’t want to be addicted to McDonalds, thank you very much!

Answer #7

Yes, I have. I keep my diet in check and I will literally write down all the macronutrients in a serving of a product on my journal so I can keep track of what i eat.

Right now, I don’t eat anything that has more carbs or fat than protein. 6 days out of the week I’ll be eating only boiled chicken and broccoli and try to keep the carbs under 60g all day. On my one high carb day, I’ll push those carbs up to 120g and eat lots of bread.

I miss my Twix.. :(
