what should i be squating?

i just turned 16 weigh 175 and im 6’1. i just started squating and im doing 10 reps of 165. i know thats not very good especially cauz im gonna be on varsity football. i havent tried maxing yet. ive got a friend that i lift with(we are about the same size) and i max bench 235 and he max benches 205. but he squats like 8 reps of 300.

u should be lifting around 350 to 400 lbs depending on how big u are… well im about 16 and i squat 400 lbs.

ur squat is pathetic, but if you just started doing them, ur strength should increase pretty fast for awhile, just make sure your hittin legs hard with good form.. make sure u got a good diet too, buildin muscle and strength comes more from ur diet then lifting.

how many times a week should i squat? im doing 3 sets 3 times a week right now and ive been doing that for 2 weeks

why would u put a 3 year old pic up, and no u cant, dont lie, it wont get u anywhere, but hey maybe u can with a 1/24th inch ROM, in that case i could squat 3x’s what i normally can.

sounds good for a begginner, make sure ur doin leg extensions, and leg curls, all that goodstuff, not just squats, once u start adding in more leg excercises u might wanna go down to 1-2 workouts a week

ya ive been doing leg extensions and curls. im now doing 10 reps of 250 and maxing around 320
