Answer #1

If you don’t want anyone you know to know… talk to people on the Internet. I would recommend a couple websites, but there’s FunAdvice. It’s kind of convenient since many people are here to listen to problems and to give advice anyway.

Answer #2

When people that are close to you realize that it is a serious issue, they tend to wise up and not try to hurt you more than you already are. Just be serious with them and like I said, perhaps writing a letter would be your best bet. And by putting it in writing it also tells them “Look I’m serious about this.”

thx, but im kinda worried that they’ll think im retarded and stupid, and then my sis and bro will prob think im a psycho! what should i do about that? is there a way i can talk to someone about this without them knowing?

Answer #4

Just sit them down and tell them how you feel because if you have loving parents then they should understand and help you get the help you deserve!

Answer #5

the same way anyone else does, your mouth. sit them down somewhere, whether its in your room, on the front porch, wherever, just somewhere private, and say that youve been having some problems lately and that you believe a professional is needed to resolve these issues. only your parents will know, therapists are trained and paid to bring no information of a person outside of their office.

Answer #6

You can talk to a guidance counselor …at school for free and with out your parents knowing.also almost all schools have a school Psychologist…which I highly recommend you ask to see..they might have to test you ( psyche eval) to see is you qualify… but if you are this depressed it shouldn’t be a problem just tell them that you need help..they will listen and from there they can get your parents involved or possibly leave it at that..I know that I have seen a psychologist with out my family knowing before..but I still think it is better if there is no abuse going on that you do involve your family

Good Luck.

Answer #7

Any good parent would take this kind of thing serious. You may be suffering from depression which is becoming more common in your generation. Tell your parents everything that troubles you, if you are afraid to tell them in person, write them a letter. I’m sure they will do whatever is needed to get you the proper help and attention that you may need.
