Would enjoy gain 10 - 15lbs, how do I do it?

I am thirteen, and weigh only 79lbs. I do not have a disorder but would enjoy gain 10 - 15lbs! Help! I eat a ton (not just kidding) and dance 12hrs a week!!! What can I do!

Be sure to have a healthy, plentiful diet with enough carbohydrate, dairy, protein, fruit and vegetables. Eat whenever hungry and even if you are not hungry make sure you have breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are able to, you could cut back on your dancing as 12 hours a week is a heck of a lot. The nice things about trying to gain weight is that you can feel free to indulge in fatty/sugary treats, but make sure they are not the staple of your diet. Also keep in mind that you may just have a fast metabolism as long as you are sure that you dont have an eating disorder, most people’s metabolisms slow down with age, so dont worry :) enjoy it while you can!!

Thats a lot of exercise, good for you! I think the problem isn’t how much you’re eating its what. To gain weight eat lots of meats (also help build muscle), junkfood (its yummy), and dairy (builds strong bones). Of course meats will be you’re best bet. Try a turkey sandwich for breakfast, spagetti with huge meatballs for lunch, crackers with kelbasa for snack, and steak and baked potatoes for dinner. Make sure you include other food groups as well but if you continually eat a lot of meat you’re garenteed to recah your goal. Best of luck, -Jess
