colic

my daughter is 2 months old..all she does is cry..very bad colic..is there anything that I can do that might help her? I tried colic drops they just made her constipated

Answer #1

My mom used to give us an ounce of antioxidant tea… she’d make a cup of tea put it in the fridge to cool down, then put an ounce in a bottle and warm it up as you would a bottle. Then let the baby drink it. It gets rid of gas and helps a lot with colic. My sister did it with her 4month old and it works like a charm

Answer #2

u know, is she on formula or breast milk? if she is on formula and it contains iron, try switching her to a formula without iron we had this same problem with our daughter when she was little and we had quiet evenings after that!!! ( :

Answer #3

With some babys who have colic that are on the bottle they recomend a thicker formula. Some also recomend putting a small amount of rice cereal into the bottle to thicken it up so it settles easier in the stomack. You really need to make an apointment with your doc to what to do in this case as each caseis diferent. There are formulas made esp for colic. If your breastfeeding then I dont really know what they do. Best always to just ask your doc or maybe even your local chemist. Poor bub I know it hurts them.
