American Girls (Poem, not a serious question)

American girls, sitting on the benches, work hard for what they want, but not what they need, Do they see what they are? Do they see themselves right? Do they see, what I see?

American girls, sitting on the benches, with their cellphones and shorts, and gum and attitudes, oblivion is their friend, their face, personality, and soul.

where will they fall, when it’s over?

That is one of the nice things about the Freedom we have in America. WE can live according to OUR wants and desires, not other people’s. As long as we don’t tread on the freedoms of others, we can be what we want to be.

I don’t think they have the same freedom in China.

I also think our youth can match them in intelligence and educational accomplishment as a percentage of our population. They may have greater numbers but they have several times the population that we have.

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

whoa!!! I didn’t mean to stereotype America because I’m from America :D :D :D wow this is sooo ironic. I was talking about America generally because a lot of teenagers are like that. I was talking about the girls at my school, the American Girls were them. I called them American because they were spoiled and oblivious to the world. China is so disiplined and full of smart people, but America is slacking and falling back. Nobody seems to care about their future or education of DOING something with their lives anymore. Nobody seems to have ambitions or dreams

Oh,okay. I’m so sorry! I took it the wrong way. Oh yeah, totally. Girls at my school chew gum, laugh like freakin’ hyenas, wear really short shorts so they look like sluts, wear their hair in ponytails, etc etc. It also makes me mad, because our country is spoiled rotten and most people are a bunch of f*ing brats who have absolutely NO discipline at all. I wish we could rise above that. Hmph. I’m moving to Russia when I’m older. :P

Answer #4

I’m an ‘American girl’ and DO NOT act like that. That’s the problem with everyone:other countries just assume everyone is alike. Let me tell you,you are dead wrong. Like Germany, for example. They think everyone is fat here in America. Well, actually they’re also dead wrong. Ha,most of them are fat, too. So who are they to judge. I’m not saying I hate every country, but I just wish we could all get along, because I have absolutely no problem with other countries. Otherwise,it’s a great poem.

Answer #5

and to everyone here, someone else might think you are one of these “American Girls” too. It’s all perception, and there is no wrong or right answer. there comes a point in time where people need to wake up though :( such as these girls.

Answer #6

And these girls were sitting on the benches outside my school, I watched them a little in a strange way, like the poem says “do they see what I see” ?

Answer #7

All of the girls at my school are like that. It’s annoying!
