Why won't my new kitten stop crying???

We got a kitten today. He is 2 1/2 months. We are keeping him separate from our 2 cats and our dog. We are doing things slowly so they can all get along and adjust. But the crying is breaking my heart.

I PUT A TEDDY BEAR WITH HIM/SHE AND THE CLOCK. MAYBE IT WORK OR MAYBE HE WAS JUST TIRED. SO WHAT DO you THINK I SHOULD DO???

put a ticking clock behind his sleeping basket, I’ve heard that they think its their mums heart beat and will feel safe around it. also keep to a regular routine, and give him heaps of lovee!

Answer #3

It could be because hes lonley. You must remeber that he was used to all the other kittens and the mom, so putting him in completly isolation can scare him and make him lonley. He could be crying out for them. Maybe you should try and introdce the animals a bit faster.. and/or spend a lot of time with him

Hope I helped!

you should try putting your kitten with the other cats , because when cats and dogs first meet , they don’t get along because they have some thing in their body that tells them that they’re not related and they won’t get along at first , so if you introduce them as early as you can , they’ll get along faster , and the reason you kitten is crying is probably because he misses his mom or he’s lonely , so if you were to put him with other cats , he would probably be happier :)

also I would wait until he’s a little bit older to introduce him to a dog , so if the dog attacks him , he can defend himself :)
