Is Vitamin D proven to make us happier and fight depression?

im writing an essay and rite now im writing how it makes us happier (not healthier) i just want the happy part

Yes some studies show that vitamin D will cause someone to be happier. I believe you get it from the sun and in places, like washington, where there is little sunshine there is a higher rate of depression that there is in sunnier states.

Vit D has nothing to do with depression or making you happier…its merely to keep up with calcium(for healthier bones) & regulates your immune system!

No, it will make you healthier but in most cases it’s just a placebo.

i heard it makes you healthire and when your healthier or in better shape your mood will improve…? my oppinion, the sun pisses me off -.-

Studies have shown that it can boost your mood. It isn’t a cure for depression, but it can help with it. In countries with less sunshine people tend to feel more depressed. In winter in some countries you get what is called winter blues and this has a relation to the amount of sunshine that people get.
