Veggeh meals!

Been a vegan for 6 years now. I’m a big guy too. I’ve never been healthier in all my 42 years, and feel great too.

The key to being a vegetarian or vegan is to do your research. Never just jump into this new way of eating. Yes, you will lose weight (unless you binge on breads and other carbs), yes you will feel better, have less colds and flu’s and have a stronger immune system.

So, go online and search for “vegetarian” and “vegan” and do your research. Be sure to take your B12 and other vitamins. And you do get lots of high quality protien from beans and other legumes – higher quality than meat. Brocolli actually gives you more calcium per pound than milk!

You’d be surprised. Once you do your research you’ll be all set.

When I was a vegetarian I hardly ate either because the meat substitutes were disgusting, but the only thing that I loved was quorn mince, its great (I still eat it now). You can use the mince to make bolegnese, tachos etc

In the freezer section as tiffany88 said. Tehy have tons of meals like pastas and meatless ‘chicken’, ‘steak’, vegi dogs and burgers. I eat a ton of pasta. There are so many different preperations. You can get ones for the microwave that will be done in 3 mins. Plus don’t rule out pizza. A classic favorite and done in minutes.

Answer #6

I’ve been a vegetarian for 25 years and have been closer to vegan for the last 4.

Some hearty filling veggies meals include red beans and rice, bean burritos, lentil soup, split pea barley soup and baked potatoes.

I avoid fake meats. I figure the more processed food is the worse it is for me. Veggie burgers may not be meat but they are soy protein highly processed to feel and taste like meat. Much better to eat less processed soy like edemame. When the rest of my family is cooking out I’ll throw some veggie burgers on the grill so I have something to put in a bun but I don’t make it a staple.

Check the freezer section of your local grocery store. There are tons of meatless burgers, and meatless nuggets, and stuff like that. I work in a grocery store, and we sell al lot of that stuff. People say that it’s really good, and has great taste. There’s a line of vegetarian products called Oh’ Natural, they are supposed to be the best of the best… They are on sale this week at the store I work at. :p
