Is it bad that I've been sleeping only about 3 to 4 hours a night for the past month now?

Answer #1

Probably not particularly good… But if it isn’t interfering with your day, I wouldn’t worry too much. I personally only sleep about 5 hours a night because my body doesn’t need much sleep.

Answer #2

The health amount of hours are 7 to 8 hours of sleep. If you continue, it could effect you in the future.

Answer #3

its not healthy for you, you’re supose to be sleeping eight hours unless you’re a teen then about ten hours.

Answer #4

These numbers are subjective… My doctor recommends four to six for me and twelve to fourteen for my older brother.

Answer #5

okay.

Answer #6

Yes, because when you’re sleeping, your brain recharges itself. I’d suggest going for at least 7 hours every night. You process information and focus better when you have a good night’s rest.

Answer #7

It’s kind of hard i have school from 8am till 4pm then work at night.

Answer #8

How has it been affecting you overall? Like do you feel more tired, irritable, loss of appetite and your mental processes, have they remained sharp? Everyone has a different body chemistry and what we can or can not tolerate is dependent on many factors. If you feel you’re not as sharp and you feel off, then maybe you should look into it. Random question though, what is your diet like and do you have a stressful job?

Answer #9

Well i have school from 8am till like 4pm then i work at night from 9pm till like 3am

Answer #10

Yeah you have crappy hours, but as long as you feel fine inside and your brain doesn’t feel like jelly then I think your good. I know the feeling myself, and I average 5 hours a day and I promise myself that the weekends I will sleep in but I am always busy.

Answer #11

Omg tell me about it but i need the cash sometimes i feel fine but somedays i feel like crap i just want to crash and not wake up i wish i could sleep in but im always on the go.

Answer #12

ohhh i see. Wow that’s a long school day! ummm I really can’t help ya then… :/ best thing to do is to shower and go straight to sleep after work i guess.

Answer #13

Back then you only need 4 hours a sleep. Now you need at least 6 hours of sleep a day. Not having enough sleep can take away years of living.
