How to make my pit stop jumping and licking people?

what do I have to do to make my pitbull stop jumping on people and licking them she is only 5 and a half months

Harleyrider has good advice, shes probly doing it to get attention and when she jumps she knows your going to pay attention to her, so turn your back and only look at her or turn around when she stops. Also, this works for some dogs that I know of too, if they jump knee them pretty hard and say NO. they associate jumping with something not so pleasant and will stop

you shoud tell her a firm no then turn around and ingnore her until she is being good then give her attention. Keep doing this again and again till she gets it. Use treats to reward. It does take time and persistance.

Ignore, ignore…ignore…as though she were invisible…NO eye contact, no words, nothing! Walk through her, as if she were a ghost…just like a dominant dog would do. The second she ‘s got all four on the floor, praise her. (she’ll probably try to jump up, when you praise her, but just mentally turn her into a ghost again…) You’ll probably find that your friends are harder to train how to “be” when they come in, than your dog will be to stay down.

This takes some time (every dog has their “thing”…the thing that seems to be the hardest to get across to them. Patience and complete consistancy (even when you want to say something, or look at her and yell OFF, don’t do it)…just keep in mind what you’re looking for as the final result.
