How to quietly deal with depression?

What is your recomendation for dealing with depression without telling anyone close to you?

Answer #1

there really isn’t a way to deal with depression by yourself, too many thoughts go through your head to seem like things are worse than they are. you don’t have to tell someone close to you, but maybe talk to someone you trust? you don’t want to end up getting worse.

you could try to get something new in your life or as hard is it is …gulp…think positive(when im deppressed or stressed I say “screw it” my problems arent my problems :) its worked ok so far

I can’t really tell you how to fix it. but I have a way not to do it, I have learned from personal experience you will hate yourself later for doing this.

but at the age of about 13 I started going through the stage of girls and whatever, and for some reason I couldn’t get a girlfriend. so for some reason I though I was a fat kid, so I began hitting myself any time I had a though about eating sweets or fats. now I hate myself for some of the bruises I gave myself and one concussion from slamming my head into a wall.

then I began to realize I was one of the skinniest kids I knew XD but thats just my thought, never ever let it come to self abusal, or letting any one else abuse you.

Ummm…well depression is a big deal. But I personally try not to think about whatever is making me depressed. My parents and everyone around me try every hard to keep me from not becoming more depressed because I suffer from a very rare disease and it is one of the symptoms. But what I do is to keep myself busy for example giving advice to other people instead of having to worry about my own.
