I want to lose 20 lbs

if I do the following could I lose 20 lbs in three months jog-5 days a week pilates-5days a week eat healthy drink tons of water

yes, and you could lose 20lbs eating just jellybeans… That’s not really a good way to ask a question. Of course it is possible, it might not be possible for you though. See what I am saying?

Now is that a good workout? Probably not. Pilates are good, but if you’re going to do any sort of lifting you should have at least one day of intense lifting to try and increase your strength/muscle mass. Muscle mass is what burns calories while you just sit around. It’s good to have it.

Personally I just view jogging as bad. Walk, run (run, not jog) and sprint. Pick days to do some of either, or mix and match. Do 10 100m sprints, then finish by walking a mile. Should you sprint, always do that first. If you are going to do intense lifting and running in different workouts, do the lifting first. If you have trouble running try running just one side of a city block and walking the other side, alternate doing that to help increase your stamina.

Also, stop focusing on your weight. Take body measurements, chances are your midsection is the one you are looking to reduce. Watch that number, it should go down, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that your weight is going down. If you are sedentary any working out will cause you to gain weight because you are building muscle (yes even if all you do is walk and stretch). So check those measurements, they will tell you more of what is going on with your body. Best of luck to you.

Yes, of course it’s possible. Just don’t exercise too much. Only a few days a week will do the trick.
