How is my poem? What do you think?

Don’t smile at me the way you do Unless you have something to say I have been waiting for so long To tell you why there’s one thing wrong

But where, where do I start? I can’t turn these thoughts I have Into precious little words But I’m still yearning to let you know And I need my voice to finally be heard

All the words I’m screaming at you Inside of my head And all the words you might have thought But never really said And what if those little words of yours Were just not the same as mine

So again I’m left here wondering What’s running through your mind My emotions are bottling up inside Getting harder and harder to hide

And now where will I start? I feel you pulling at every corner of my heart I normally would tell you to stop But you can’t let go Or it might finally drop.

As a fellow poet: I am very happy that you had the guts to post this up here for critique. Forget about what prettygal said, this is not a poetry contest and you’re not a professional writer. Sometimes people need to be told straight and you did that. Great poem! From a stranger, I like this!!!

if you want a honest opinion, then it is just an average poem. try writing a one where people have to read between the lines. thats how most talented poets write.
